Latvian Canadian Cultural Centre

Picture of the front of the Latvian Centre

The LCCC’s purpose is to acquire, maintain and operate a Centre to foster and sustain the Latvian heritage and cultural tradition and to provide social and cultural exchange with the various cultural communities in Canada. The Centre was selected and purchased in 1977. The building was remodelled and was opened to the public in 1979. It has not only sustained itself, but improved. Access ramps and an elevator have been installed to help the elderly and disabled. For the children, a playground was created.

The Latvian Centre is located at:
4 Credit Union Drive

Map to Latvian Centre

How to get there.

The LCCC is located at the Southwest corner of Eglinton Ave East and Credit Union Drive. This is between the Don Valley Parkway and Victoria Park Avenue.

T.T.C. has excellent service from the Subway and from many of the main streets in the area. There are sheltered bus stops at the corners.

The parking lot is on the South side of the building. People should park in the lot (along the south side of the building) or on the street (there is an understanding with the police about this).

Ramp to Latvian Centre

Enter the side door (the one with the ramp leading up to it). Take the elevator just inside the door or the stairs to the 2nd floor.

First you come to a cloakroom for our coats. Next go left down the hall and around the corner (West) to Kursa (or Medium) Hall where our TGS meeting will take place.
